The Greek custom of Tsiknopempti (loosely translatable as “Barbecue Thursday”), involves the massive consumption of charred meat in the evening of Thursday, ten days before the beginning of the Great Lent (the Orthodox stop eating meat a week before Lent starts).

If you have been following all the hype about the Amerigo Vespucci Italian Tall Ship’s visit to Limassol, Cyprus but haven’t been able to find any information *anywhere* about visiting hours, your search is over. Since the Cyprus Mail ran the article, we have been searching high and low for this information.

So here it is, thanks to Andrei Croitoriu.

The visiting schedule for the public is:

  • Friday, July 29th: 15.00 – 19.00  &  20.30 – 22.00
  • Saturday, July 30th: 17.00 – 19.00  &  20.30 – 22.00
  • Sunday, July 31st: 15.00 – 18.00

In order to visit the ship you should have an ID with you.
